Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
Location: Costa Rica

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team and support our SaaS-based Simeio IO platform. This is a hybrid role that combines maintaining platform stability with hands-on development. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the platform remains operational for all customers, addressing issues proactively, and implementing fixes when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Simeio IO platform is running smoothly and reliably for all customers.
  • Perform root-cause analysis of issues, implement fixes, and optimize platform performance.
  • Contribute to development efforts by fixing and enhancing the platform’s codebase (Java Spring Boot framework).
  • Develop and manage automation scripts using Ansible and Kubernetes.
  • Utilize Docker for containerization and system optimization.

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in Java, with experience in the Spring Boot framework.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Ansible scripting.
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.
  • A proactive mindset for solving problems and improving platform performance.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in site reliability engineering or DevOps roles.
  • Familiarity with additional modern DevOps tools and technologies.
