Responsibilities:
Access Governance:
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of comprehensive access governance frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external access management policies, emphasizing segregation of duties and least privilege principles.
- Oversee the periodic access review and certification processes to identify and resolve issues related to unauthorized or excessive access.
- Collaborate with security and audit teams to assess risk and enforce governance policies across the organization.
- Leverage advanced SQL skills to query, analyze, and manipulate large datasets for reporting and troubleshooting purposes.
- Develop complex SQL queries to generate ad-hoc and scheduled reports for access governance audits, certifications, and compliance assessments.
- Automate and optimize SQL-based data extraction processes to improve the efficiency of reporting tasks.
- Identify anomalies in access data and investigate potential access control violations.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize ETL jobs related to access management and governance data flows.
- Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams to resolve data transformation and loading issues that impact access governance reporting.
- Ensure ETL processes are aligned with governance requirements and maintain data integrity across systems.
- Implement solutions for ETL performance tuning and ensure the scalability of data pipelines in large and complex environments.
- Produce detailed reports and dashboards on access governance KPIs, including user access review completion, policy violations, and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., SOX, GDPR, PCI-DSS).
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in access-related reports and work with stakeholders to develop actionable insights.
- Respond to audit requests and provide necessary data and analysis to support access governance audits and reviews.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of access reporting processes and tools.
- Oversee user access provisioning, de-provisioning, and role-based access control (RBAC) processes across critical applications and systems.
- Collaborate with business units to define and enforce access control policies and procedures that meet organizational requirements.
- Manage privileged access accounts and ensure that privileged access is properly controlled, monitored, and audited.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigations for potential threats related to improper access controls and data exposure.
- Implement and enhance role-based access controls (RBAC) and attribute-based access controls (ABAC) to reduce risk and improve security.
- Proactively identify and address security risks in access management processes.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders (IT, security, compliance, legal) on best practices for access governance and reporting.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and teams on SQL best practices and ETL job management.
- Deliver training and support for end-users and team members on access management tools, processes, and compliance requirements.
- Drive process improvements in access governance and reporting workflows, leveraging automation and advanced analytics where possible.
- Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance access management and reporting capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to streamline the ETL process to improve data flow and reduce bottlenecks in access governance reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in access governance, information security, or a similar role.
- Advanced skills in writing and optimizing SQL queries, working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
- Extensive experience in developing and optimizing SQL queries for complex datasets.
- Strong background in debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing ETL jobs, preferably in large-scale environments.
- Experience in working with ETL platforms like Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with data analytics, data integration, and data warehousing concepts.
- Proficiency in reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization platforms.
- Solid understanding of data governance, compliance standards, and security frameworks (e.g., SOX).
